Refurbishments, new restaurant coming to Disney’s BoardWalk

A new lobby design, refreshed guest rooms, a new coffee bar and a new table-service restaurant are coming to Disney World’s BoardWalk during the next few years.

Let’s first go outside to the BoardWalk’s boardwalk and see what will be happening. Expected to open in 2023, the Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers, is a new table service restaurant and bakery that will offer both savory and dessert menus, along with afternoon tea service, in a whimsical atmosphere that complements the magic of the idyllic charm of Disney’s BoardWalk.

While Disney has not announced the location of the new restaurant it is believed to be in the ESPN Club location, which has not reopened.

With the opening of the new restaurant, the BoardWalk Bakery will become a new sandwich shop.

Inside Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, just off the lobby a new coffee bar with artisanal beverages and quick bites will be available to-go or in newly refreshed seating spaces inside or outdoors.

In addition, some other enhancements are to be announced for the BoardWalk later, Disney announced.
