Character greetings returning to Disney World, Disneyland starting in April
Traditional character greetings will be returning to Disneyland, Disney World, the Disney Cruise Line and Aulani Resort in Hawaii as early as April 18, Disney announced today.
So, instead of having to stand in front of a rope or a few feet away from characters, guests will again be able to hug Mickey Mouse, get an autograph from a Princess and get a high five from Goofy.
No specific dates or the lineup of when it is happening to which characters has been announced. Not all locations will be available immediately, and this will be reopening in phases throughout the spring and early summer.
During the past two years, during COVID-19, Disney has slowly re-introduced entertainment and characters, first starting with character appearances during cavalcades, then having them located in areas where you can see them and waive and then a bit closer separated a few feet by a rope or some other designation.
