Tron canopy nearly complete on one exterior covering at Magic Kingdom
The final white canopy looks nearly complete on one of the two exterior structures of the new Tron ride coming to Magic Kingdom at Disney World.
The workers are using cherry pickers to install the canopy, which provides cover for the exterior track.
Here is a look at the artist’s rendering of the new ride and you can see what the final white canopy is supposed to look like.
Below, you can see how the canopy covers the exterior track.
And you can see how the right portion of the exterior covering still needs to be complete.
Here, you can see the walkway that was built and will be used by guests to get to the attraction. The walkway has a tunnel under it, which will allow the Walt Disney World Railroad to pass beneath.
The new coaster being built in Tomorrowland next to Space Mountain is based on Shanghai Disneyland’s TRON Lightcycle Power Run. Guests will board a train of two-wheeled Lightcycles that will take them inside and outside the attraction’s building, reaching speeds of nearly 60 miles. The ride lasts about two minutes. No opening date for Magic Kingdom has been announced.
