Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin files permit to build new pool area

The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin has plans to build a new pool and recreation area, according to a permit file with the South Florida Water Management District.

The existing playground and part of the beach near the main pool will be removed and the area will be replaced with a pool and a water activity pool. The playground will be relocated to the other side of the main pool.

The current pools will remain.The new pool area is being built now that the new Walt Disney World Swan Reserve has opened. The new 14-story hotel offers an upscale and boutique environment featuring 349 guest rooms, 149 spacious suites and two presidential suites, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows. But the hotel does not have a dedicated pool.

This new pool will service the Swan Reserve as well as the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin.
