Photos: Fantasmic! pool refilled with water as refurbishment continues
The refurbishment taking place in Hollywood Hills Amphitheater where Fantasmic! is held at Disney’s Hollywood Studios looks nearly complete as water once again has been added to the theater.
When closed in March 2020 when Disney World closed for the pandemic, the theater was drained and left untouched. As Disney has moved to reopen the attraction, a refurbishment has taken place.
Aerial photos from photographer the attraction @bioreconstruct show that water has been added to the pool area.
A near straight down aerial look at Steamboat Willy shows the ship is nearly ready to resume. The ship was stripped to the frame and rebuilt as part of the refurbishment.
When the show returns in the next few months, a new sequence that will feature Moana, Aladdin, and characters from “Frozen.”
