Big Thunder Mountain in Magic Kingdom to close for brief refurbishment in Feb.

An additional routine maintenance announcement for the Magic Kingdom in early 2022 has been made.

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad will be closed for routine maintenance from Feb. 14 to Feb. 18, 2022, accoring to Disney World.

The beginning of the year is a normal time when such maitenance take place for a variety of rides. In addition to Big Thunder, the following attractions at Walt Disney World will also be closed for maintenance at some point:

Splash Mountain in Magic Kingdom: Closed Jan. 10 through Feb. 10, 2022

Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain in Animal Kingdom: Closed Jan. 4 through mid-April 2022
