Primeval Whirl demolition complete at Disney’s Animal Kingdom
The area where the the roller coaster Primeval Whirl once stood at Disney’s Animal Kingdom is now empty.
Demolition on the spinning coaster in DinoLand U.S.A., where the cars spun in circles while on the tracks, started in September and was recently completed. The ride’s storyline was similar to the nearby Dinosaur attraction and dealt with the meteor that was about to impact the Earth and cause the extinction of the dinosaurs.
The coaster opened in March 2002, but by June 2019 was reduce to seasonal operation. A year late Disney confirmed the attraction was not reopen.
Disney has also not announced what will be coming to the area or if anything is planned at all.
