Disney World temporarily suspends sales of most annual passes
Walt Disney World has suspended the sale of three of four of its annual passes for now, according to the Walt Disney World website.
At this point the only annual pass that is available is the Disney Pixie Dust Pass for Florida residents, which is the most restrictive annual pass.
No end date was given for the pause. “We will continue to evaluate the return of new sales for these passes,” the site said. However, there is some belief that sales will remain suspended untiil the end of the year.
Current annual passholders can still renew their passes within 30 days of their expiration, according to the website.
In August, when the new list of annual passes were announced, Disney stated thart as it magaged its attendance, the passes could be made unavailable again.
The pause is taking place as it is getting more difficult to make a park reservation for Disney World. The park reservation system is being used to help manage the crowds and capacity in the parks.
Something similar has taken place at Disneyland where the most expensive pass – The Dream Key – is listed as being sold out.
