Photos: Typhoon Lagoon refurbishment looks near complete

Water is back in the pools, lounge chairs are set up and the sand looks crisp at Typhoon Lagoon, one of Walt Disney World’s water parks that has not yet reopened.

While Blizzard Beach has been reopened since March 7, Typhoon Lagoon has remained closed with no word from Disney on when it might reopen.  And if you looked at the aerial photos taken in July by photographer @bioreconstruct you would have seen a drained Typhoon Lagoon that was looking a little bleak.

But photos taken on Oct. 19 by @bioreconstruct show a spruced-up park that looks like it could reopen anytime. Normally January is the time when Blizzard Beach is taken off line for some refurbishment, so we might see Typhoon Lagoon open at that time, but no official announcement have yet been made by Disney. In the meantime, let’s take a look at what the water park looks like now.
