Disney’s iconic toy soldiers march into your home for the holidays

We love Disney’s annual holiday plushies as much as the next person, but this year, Mickey and Minnie can step aside. The toy soldiers are here!

This month’s release from Amazon’s 2021 Treasures from the Vault plush collection is a set of two “Babes in Toyland”-inspired soldiers. Each boxed set, which sells for $39.99, includes two 14″ tall plush soldiers made of soft fabric with embroidered cheeks and eyes. Each is wearing a velvet red tunic embellished with gold accents and a faux leather belt (non-removable) and a matching hat with a braided neck strap. One soldier is playing the drums and the other playing a trumpet. Each set also includes a Certificate of Authenticity.

Disney’s toy soldiers made their first appearance in the 1961 film, “Babes in Toyland.” The breakout stars of the film, they went on to made a life-size debut at Disneyland Park during the 1961 holiday season’s Parade of Toys. They have been mainstays of Disney Parks holidays ever since, and still appear in the Christmas parade every year.

At this price, you may find yourself putting together a whole platoon of soldiers for your very own Christmas parade.
