Disney Genie+ will not sell out, can only be used via the app
The new Disney Genie+ launching on Oct. 19 will not sell out on a given day and you will only be able to use the Lightning Lane once per attraction per day, according to Disney.
The announcement was one of three new pieces of information that came to light during a travel agent webinar today, according to @WDWPrepSchool
The free Disney Genie and paid Disney Genie+ launches at the same time on the My Disney Experience app. The free Disney Genie service is intended to help create a personalized touring plan based on your preferences and the current wait times. Pay an extra $15 per day per ticket for Disney Genie+, and you can use the Lightning Lanes (the former FastPass lanes).
However, you will only be able to use the Lightning Lane for a specific attraction only once on that particular day. So, if you wanted to ride Big Thunder Mountain Railroad you can only use Genie+ once that particular day.
Lastly, Disney announced that Genie+ can only be used via the My Disney Experience app or the Disneyland app and will be available by web browser.
