‘Wonderful World of Animation’ returns with scenes from latest films
The “Wonderful World of Animation” returned to Disney’s Hollywood Studios last night taking guests on a journey through more than 90 years of Disney and Pixar animation.
The projection show takes place on the facade of the Chinese Theatre displaying tributes to animation from many of the beloved films like “Sleeping Beauty,” “The Incredibles,” “Coco” and now includes clips from movies that have been released since the show’s hiatus. The new ones include “Soul.”
The 12-minutes show kicks off with a premiere feeling with a black and white Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse showing up the Chinese Theater and then kicks into all of the animated movies with a few small fireworks to punctuate the end of segments. The show ends with a colorized Mickey Mouse leaving everyone with is signature salute – See ya real soon!
The show is taking place nightly at 9 p.m. through the rest of August.
