What you can do aboard the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser hotel
When the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser launches at Walt Disney World in 2022, guests will find themselves immersed in exclusive activities, missions, character encounters and adventures that you won’t find anywhere else in Disney World.
This two-day two-night adventure is promised by Disney to be part live immersive theater, part themed environment, part culinary extravaganza and part real-life role-playing game. The price is going to be a bit hefty, but this is being billed as a space cruise, where food, entertainment and lodging are included in the price.
The descriptions Disney has provided will let you release your inner Star Wars character. And, you are encouraged to wear those Star Wars clothes, so people can actually see your Star Wars character. You will be able to choose your path. Will you follow the First Order or join the Resistance? You will also be able to use the Star Wars: Datapad on your mobile device, otherwise known as the Play Disney Parks app, for additional communication with crew members and others. So, you might find yourself invited on a special adventure.
Here are some of the activities that will be available. Disney has also published a sample itinerary of a trip, included below, that you can review.
Lightsaber Training
Wield a lightsaber and face off against a remote training device in this exclusive interactive activity that is far beyond anything you’ve experienced before. Guests must be at least 7 years of age to participate.
Bridge Training
Explore the working bridge of the legendary Halcyon starcruiser and learn how it functions from the crew during this hands-on experience. The crew will teach you how the navigation, power, defense and other critical systems keep the Halcyon starcruiser safe from unforeseen galactic entanglements. These skills may even come in handy should critical situations arise later in your voyage (hint, hint)
Planet Excursion to Batuu
Board a transport for a trip down to Black Spire Outpost on Batuu and continue your adventure on the remote planet. Your missions throughout Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge—including your adventures on Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and Millennium Falcon:Smugglers Run—will influence events back on the ship. You’ll be able to enjoy one-time entry to these attractions during your excursion to Batuu.
Relax in the Sublight Lounge
Order a drink, sit back, unwind and watch it all unfold from the comfort of the Sublight Lounge. Looking to wager a few credits? Sidle up to the Sabacc gaming table and play a casual hand of holo-sabacc while sipping a refreshing beverage.
