Disneyland Paris starts charging for FastPasses, here’s how it works

Disneyland Paris today launched what it’s calling the Disney Premier Access program, a new pay-as-you-go FastPass program for select rides at Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park.

There have been multiple rumors of a system coming to the Walt Disney World Resort, but no announcements have been made by Disney. Disney normally does not comment on rumors. The FastPass system at Disney World has been on hold since the reopening last year.

At Disneyland Paris, the prices listed today are per person for a ride within a designated time window with what is said to be a minimal wait. By mid-day, all of the passes were taken. The pricing is dynamic and could change depending on demand, time of day and season.

The prices today in U.S. dollars were. The cost in Euros ranges from €8 to €15, which runs from about $9.50 to $18.

What is Disney Premier Access?
Disney Premier Access gives you access to a dedicated priority line to access a chosen attraction during a specific time slot.

When can I buy Disney Premier Access?
You must have entered one of the Disney® Parks in order to buy Disney Premier Access, either via the official Disneyland Paris app, or from a Cast Member (at City Hall or Studio Services). Your Disney Premier Access is valid on the day of purchase only.

Can anyone buy Disney Premier Access?
You need a Disney Account to buy Disney Premier Access in the official Disneyland Paris app. Certain age conditions apply when creating a Disney Account. Guests who do not have a smartphone can still purchase Disney Premier Access from a Cast Member (in City Hall or Studio Services).

Where can I find my Disney Premier Access?
Once you complete your purchase via the app, you can find your QR codes by going to “My Disney Premier Access” and clicking on “Show QR codes”.

How do I use my Disney Premier Access?
You must present your QR code at the entrance to the chosen attraction to access the Disney Premier Access line.

Is Disney Premier Access refundable?
Your Disney Premier Access cannot be refunded, exchanged, resold, returned, nor replaced in case of loss or theft. Refunds are possible only in the event of an attraction closure.

Can anyone use my Disney Premier Access?
Each Disney Premier Access is linked to a specific Park Ticket and can only be used by that Ticket holder. It cannot be transferred to another Guest.

How many times can I use a Disney Premier Access?
A Disney Premier Access is valid for a single use only for a chosen attraction at a given time slot and on the date of purchase.

Do children need Disney Premier Access to join the dedicated line?
Children under three do not need a Disney Premier Access to join the dedicated line. They must however be accompanied by an adult who has Disney Premier Access. Please check height restrictions for each attraction.

What happens if an attraction is closed temporarily during my time slot?
If an attraction closes during your time slot, you will receive a new Pass in the “My Disney Premier Access” section of the app. You can wait to see if the attraction re-opens or use your new Pass to access the Disney Premier Access line for any other eligible attraction, at any time.

Can I buy Disney Premier Access for different attractions at the same time?
You can only buy Disney Premier Access for one attraction at a time. To buy for another attraction, simply start another purchase and select the attraction you want to ride to see if there are any time slots available.
