Don Hahn, the producer of the animated film “The Lion King” revealed today two more characters who are joining the “Disney Fab 50 Character Collection” during The World’s Most Magical Celebration kicking off Oct. 1, 2021.
During the 18-month celebration of Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary 50 golden statue characters will be placed throughout the four parks.
Hahn announced that Timon and Pumbaa will be joining the list and will be located at Animal Kingdom.
Other announced so far include Mickey Mouse and Goofy. More character sculptures will be announced in the upcoming weeks by Disney friends, including Walt Disney World, Disney+, Pixar, Walt Disney Animation Studios, D23, Disney Channel, NatGeoTV, Disney Vacation Club and more.
