Scaffolding up around Beauty and Beast castle in Magic Kingdom

Scaffolding has been erected outside the Be Our Guest Restaurant at the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World.

Disney has not said what the specific work is taking place. But you can see that it is on the rock face of the hill leading up to the Beast castle on top of the restaurant.

Various work is taking place around the Magic Kingdom in preparation of the 50th-anniversary celebration starting on Oct. 1. No work has yet begun on the castle on the top of the hill, though we do anticipate that will be coming.

Other work taking place around the Magic Kingdom includes the refurbishment of the Partners statue at the front of the park.
