Special Disney collectible stock certificates are available
When Disney made its first public offering in the 1940s, the company gave out stock certificates that were illustrated with Disney characters and was something everyone looked forward to when getting stock.
The hand-signed public stock offering certificates signed by Disney can fetch more than $25,000.
In 2013, Disney like other companies stopped giving out certificates for stock. That doesn’t mean you can not get certificates. Disney Chairman and CEO Bob Iger unveiled at the company’s 2014 Annual Meeting of Shareholders, the certificates are now available for purchase at DisneyStore.com/ShareholderCertificate, according to Disney. The certificates are only available to holders of Disney stock, and they can be personalized.
The design contains characters from Disney, ABC, ESPN, Pixar, Marvel and Lucasfilm. Walt Disney is surrounded by Mickey Mouse, Tinker Bell, Anna and Elsa, Captain Jack Sparrow, Buzz Lightyear and Woody, Captain America, R2-D2 and Doc McStuffins, as well as other.
