Hall of Presidents at Magic Kingdom closes for refurbishment
Walt Disney World has closed the Hall of Presidents at the Magic Kingdom coinciding with Inauguration Day.
The closure came without any fanfare as Donald Trump leaves office and Joe Biden is sworn in as the 46th President of the United States.
The attraction is expected to incorporate Biden speaking when it reopens. There is no indication from Disney when the attraction refurbishment will take place. The tradition of the President’s recording speeches for the attraction started with Bill Clinton and has been followed by George W. Bush and Barack Obama and Trump.
The attraction shows the landmark moments in history on a panoramic 180-degree screen as Abraham Lincoln delivers the Gettysburg address and all of the Presidents are introduced.
