Aerial photos: What an empty Typhoon Lagoon at Disney World looks like

The temperatures since June 1 in Orlando have averaged 90.9 degrees, so a trip to a water park is very refreshing. But at this point only one of the two Walt Disney World water parks is open.

While Blizzard Beach has been reopened since March 7, Typhoon Lagoon has remained closed with no word from Disney on when it might reopen.

And if you look at the aerial photos taken by photographer @bioreconstruct you will see a drained Typhoon Lagoon. Below is the empty surf pool.

On the bottom of the photo below is the centerpiece of the waterpark, “Miss Tilly,” a shrimp boat impaled on Mount Mayday.
