2022 Disney World Marathon registration dates announced

Registration dates for the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend, taking place Jan. 5-9, 2022, have been announced.

The event is taking place during the 18-month 50th anniversary celebration that kicks off on Oct. 1.

The weekend of race events consist of skill levels filled with entertainment and commemorative finisher medals.

The events include the:

• Walt Disney World 5K | Pluto
• Walt Disney World 10K | Oswald the Lucky Rabbit
• Walt Disney World Half Marathon | Donald and Daisy Duck
• Walt Disney World Marathon | Mickey and Minnie Mouse
• Goofy’s Race and a Half Challenge – Get started with the Half Marathon on Saturday, followed by the Marathon on Sunday. Complete both races on pace to earn your Half Marathon and Marathon finisher medals—plus get the coveted Goofy medal.
• The Dopy Challenge – Complete all four Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend races on pace and earn not only the four individual event medals, but both the Goofy’s Race and a Half Challenge medal and the Dopey Challenge Medal

And, if you can’t make it Disney World for the marathon weekend there will be virtual races ranging from 3.1 to 48.6 miles.

Registration takes place the following days:

• Club runDisney Gold & Platinum Registration Opens July 20, 2021 at 10 a.m. EST. 
• General Registration for In-Person Races Opens July 27, 2021 at 10 a.m. EST. 
• General Registration for Virtual Races Opens July 30, 2021 at 10 a.m. EST.
