Fireworks returning to Disney World on July 1 at Magic Kingdom, EPCOT

They’re coming back! Nightly fireworks performances at Magic Kingdom and EPCOT will be returning to the parks starting on July 1.

The tradition returns at the Magic Kingdom with “Happily Ever After” fireworks transforming Cinderella Castle with lights, projections and pyrotechnics, as moments from favorite Disney stories encourage you to grab hold of your dreams and make them come true.

At EPCOT, “EPCOT Forever” will produce fireworks, music and lighting effects over World Showcase Lagoon, highlighting the themes of innovation, exploration, imagination and celebration at the core of the park’s past, present and future.

The Disney tradition of fireworks have been around since 1957 and are what Walt Disney called the perfect “kiss goodnight” at the close of a magical day.

There has been no announcement if there will be special July 4th fireworks taking place.
