Jungle Cruise update to begin soon at Disney World, new concept art
Work should soon begin on the Jungle Cruise update at the Magic Kingdom, according to Walt Disney Imagineering .
The update to the classic fan-favorite attraction are new scenes and a new backstory. “The new scenes will heighten our skippers’ legendary comedic tone, beginning with a trapped safari party that finds itself up a tree after their journey goes awry. Unexpected scenarios along the way will give the jungle and animals the last laugh,” Disney previously announced.
The good news is the ride will not have to close down for the changes to take place. “The attraction will remain open to guests while our teams update scenes in a phased approach over the next several months,” according to Walt Disney Imagineering.
Disney also released some new concept art of one of the new scenes to be added. The updates will take place at both the Magic Kingdom at Disney World and at Disneyland.
