More flair added to Cinderella Castle for 50th anniversary

Work slowly continues on Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom for its 50th-anniversary ceremony with decorations now placed on the side rear walls of the castle.

The castle is getting not only an additional paint job on the turrets, but royal bunting is now being attached to the sides of the castle. The bunting features a royal blue jewel with gold detailing and shimmering draping.

These decorations can now be see on the rear left side wall and rear left side walls of the castle.

In addition to the blue jewels there are also medallions placed at the end the embellishments with a gold 50.

In addition to the decorations being placed on the castle the castle stage is getting an update as well. The stage and front area of the castle is blocked off from view.

The 50th anniversary celebration kicks off on Oct. 1, 2021 and will last for 18 months. Dubbed “The World’s Most Magical Celebration,”  the celebratory event will feature new experiences at the resort’s four theme parks. The castle will also receive a 50th anniversary crest at the front.
