PHOTOS: First area of Ratatouille expansion opens in France pavilion
The entrance to the new Ratatouille area opened this morning at EPCOT, and the first portion of this new expansion to open is the bathrooms.
Guests bristled with excitement as they witnessed the shrubs were removed from the entryway to the Ratatouille and you could walk under the archway into the new area. Hopes might have been dashed a bit after realizing the area that was open was to the new bathrooms. Disney opened the bathrooms after the Morocco bathrooms were closed for refurbishment.
Disney did try to put all in check with a new sign stating the ride is opening in 2021. But the small area that opened did give us a brief closeup look at what’s to come.
Immediately after the entrance to the left is what I imagine is going to become the new Instagram-worthy wall at Disney .
As you walk down the Rue Auguste Gusteau you see the doors and shudders highlighted in French blue with hand-painted highlights on the walls which complement the design of the nearby Disney Skyliner station.
The intersection of Rue Auguste Gusteau and Allée Des Marchands. Construction walls were put up to block off the entrance to the new ride, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. Guests will be shrunk down to the scale of a rat for this adventure as you race across Gusteau’s kitchen floor aboard on special trackless ride vehicles.
The sign of the new LaCréperie de Paris is visible over construction walls.
What looks to be the entryway to the quick-service Crépes a Emporter , which translates to “crépes to go,” which is most likely going to be the takeout area.
This looks to be the queue for the to-go crépes shop.
The new restrooms in France, which is why the area was opened.
