Photos: Chalk masters bring changing art to EPCOT arts festival

There is a rotating art exhibit at the Taste of Epcot International Festival of the Arts many simply walk by without stopping and looking.

This is probably the one time guests to the festival should look down at their feet to see the art. The bridge between Future World and the World Showcase features chalk artists both 2-D and 3-D.

The art changes on a daily basis. This festival was the first opportunity for many of the artists to return to work since the COVID-19 pandemic. For some last year’s festival was the last time they were able to create their art in public.

The artists said that it took some time for their joints and muscles to get back in shape. While you might wonder why that’s important, remember these artists spend a lot of time on their hands and knees, bending down and sitting on hard concrete.

Here’s a look at some of the 2-D and 3-D work that has been created.

The 3-D art is fun because the artist has created photo opportunities for those to interact with the art.
