‘The Mandalorian’ season finale reveals third spinoff coming next year
“The Mandalorian” revealed a third spinoff coming from the highly-acclaimed series that was revealed in a post-credit scene of the season finale.
If you want to wait for the surprise, then you should stop here. Also, this is the only spoiler that will be mentioned here. You need to, and I mean, need to watch this episode. You will jump out of your seat and have a tear in your eye at the end.
In the scene, Boba Fett (Temuera Morrison) returns to Jabba the Hutt’s den on Tatooine. Bib Fortuna, Jabba’s former right hand Twi’lek. Once entering the chamber, Fett an Fennec Shand (Ming-Na Wen) shoot up who is there.
In the end, Fett sits on the throne with the title coming up: “The Book of Boba Fett, coming December 2021.”
This will be the third series spin-off from “The Mandalorian.” Last week, Disney announced two spinoffs:
“Rangers of the New Republic” was the title released, but no details have been forthcoming. Now, it could follow the X-wing pilots trying to keep order, as we saw in two episodes of “The Mandalorian” this year. In addition, Cara Dune (Gina Carano) is now Marshaell of the New Republic, so it could also focus on her.
“Ahsoka” starring Rosario Dawson. No specifics were revealed but from her appearance in “The Mandalorian” this looks to be her journey to find Grand Admiral Thrawn.
Next week, there will be a making of Season 2 special on Disney+, so we might get some more insight into the future.
