Disney releases test footage of new Guardians of the Galaxy roller coaster

We are getting a first look at how the new Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind coaster is will operate.

Disney released a video showing how the coaster vehicle moves. It can rotate 360 degrees and launch in reverse. This Omnicoaster is a first-of-its-kind programmable roller coaster ride system, where guests can be rotated along the ride track in any direction while traveling at high speeds.

Construction continues on coaster that is located in Epcot.

The colorful paint design on the vehicles is unique with different wear patterns and impact marks. Imagineers were inspired by markings that appear on NASA Space Shuttles and other spacecraft upon re-entry into Earth’s atmosphere.
