‘The Mandalorian’ wins 5 technical Emmys
“The Mandalorian,” the Disney+ hit, has honored so far with five technical Emmy Awards.
The first live-action Star Wars series was nominated for 15 awards in 12 categories.
The show focuses on a lone gunfighter’s struggle to protect a young alien being known only as the Child.
The show, created by Jon Favreau and executive produced by Favreau and Dave Filoni, have so far received:
- Outstanding Cinematography For A Single-camera Series (Half-hour) — (The Mandalorian, Chapter 7: The Reckoning)
- Outstanding Production Design For A Narrative Program (Half-hour) — (The Mandalorian, Chapter 1: The Mandalorian)
- Outstanding Sound Editing For A Comedy Or Drama Series (Half-hour) And Animation — (The Mandalorian, Chapter 1: The Mandalorian)
- Outstanding Sound Mixing For A Comedy Or Drama Series (Half-hour) And Animation — (The Mandalorian, Chapter 2: The Child)
- Outstanding Special Visual Effects — (The Mandalorian, Chapter 2: The Child)
More awards will be handed out over the next few days culminating with the Primetime Emmy Awards being broadcast Sunday, Sept. 20 at 8 p.m. ET
The second season of “The Mandalorian” begins on Oct. 30.
