Disney to reopen Aulani resort in Hawai’i on November 1
Disney will start its phased reopening of Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa in Hawai’i on Nov. 1, Terri A. Schultz, Senior Vice President Disney Vacation Club, Guided Adventures & Expeditions and Golden Oak announced.
This now means all of the Disney Vacation Clun resorts with the exception of The Villas at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, are now either open or scheduled to reopen soon.
“Just as we’re doing at Disney vacation destinations around the world, we are working on responsibly and thoughtfully implementing new health and safety measures at Aulani Resort. Our gradual, phased approach to reopening considers the guidance of government and local health authorities, including the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as well as the U.S. Travel Association and Disney’s team of health and safety professionals. This deliberate approach allows us to evaluate and adjust along the way, as circumstances and the recommendations of health authorities evolve,” Schultz wrote in a letter sent out to Disney Vacation Club members.
The resort’s reopening coincides with state of Hawai’i opening up again to U.S. travelers. While visitors will be welcome back o the state staring Oct. 15, 2020, there will be a number of travel and quarantine requirements being implemented.
