Disney World drops face mask requirement on buses and monorail

As of today, Walt Disney World has dropped all face mask requirements on Disney transportation. Guests had been required to wear face masks on all bus and monorail transportation, but that has been dropped once the TSA said that it will not enforce mask requirements on public transportation.

There are now no more public spaces where a face mask is required with the exception of going inside a First Aid station.

According to Disney’s website: “Face coverings are optional for Guests in both outdoor and indoor locations, as well as Disney transportation. It is recommended Guests who are not fully vaccinated continue wearing face coverings in all indoor locations, including indoor attractions and theaters and on enclosed transportation.

“Please note, face coverings are not permitted while experiencing water slides or in the water.”

On Monday, a federal judge in Florida struck down a national mask mandate on airplanes and mass transit. The ruling allowed airlines, airports and mass transit systems to make their own decisions about mask requirements.
