Photos: Checking in with the lions at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

The hot summer days are hit and miss when it comes to lion spotting on the Kilimanjaro Safaris at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

If you can believe it, even the harsh Florida heat and humidity could be too much for these felines who will retreat inside. But during the mornings you can normally catch the pride on the rocks hanging out or playing.

Let’s take a look.

Have you ever watched your cat sleep with its eyes open. Well, such was the case here as the male lion took a nap and made some interesting snore-roaring sounds that echoed the area.
