Aerial photos: Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser hotel construction continues

Even though not all of the resorts and hotels at and around Walt Disney World are open, one of the newest resorts under construction continues – Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser.

The hotel was supposed to debut in 2021 with reservations starting late this year, but Disney has not had any update on when the project will be complete. We have the latest aerial photos courtesy. of photographer @bioreconstruct

Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser will be a new type of immersive experience. Those staying at the hotel will be living onboard a star cruiser. Think of the two-day, two-night stay at Disney World, right outside of Hollywood Studios, as being on a cruise ship for two days.

When you get to the hotel you will be “blast off” into space and dock with your home on the ship called The Halcyon. Onboard, there will be a number of activities, including a visit to the Bridge to operate the navigation and defense systems, learning how to properly wield a lightsaber like Luke Skywalker learned from Obi-Wan Kenobi and visit the engineering room.

You will also take a shuttle down to Black Spire Outpost on Batuu (Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge) where you will ride the Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. There are rumors that there might be some missions to accomplish while down to the planet as well.

No pricing has yet been announced for this two-day, two-night excursion, but chances are it will include meals as well and be priced as a cruise would be priced.
