Tokyo Disneyland, Tokyo DisneySea theme parks reopen
After four months of being closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea theme parks reopened on Wednesday, July 1, 2020.
And is what is becoming the norm now for Disney Parks, visitors are required to purchase online tickets beforehand designating the date and time of their planned visit and are undergoing temperature checks, prompted to practice social distancing and wear facemasks.
Restaurant capacity is also limited and most of the entertainment, parade and nighttime spectaculars are canceled.
“We will consider restarting the parades and increasing the number of visitors allowed inside the park as we monitor this new way of operating,” a staff member said, according to the Japan Times.
Next on tap to open in the Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom on July 11 at Walt Disney World, Epcot and Hollywood Studios and Disneyland Paris on July 15.
