Photos: A ride on the newly reopened Kilimanjaro Safaris

While it is easy for humans to physically distance from the animals at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Disney has created a number of protocols for the humans to physically distance from humans.

The first step are floor markers as you weave through the early part of the line. Then comes the straight-away where the Stand-By and FastPass lines are side by side. Here, Disney has placed plexiglass to separate the lines.

As you get to the line to enter the trucks, guests are placed in every other row of the truck. In addition between every row, above the back of the seats are plastic sheets.

Once you sit down, with your group, you might seem a little claustrophobic because of the plastic coverings a few inches in front and behind you.

Then the ride is pretty much the same, with the exception of having somewhat limited clear views. While in the past you might have been able to look over people’s shoulder in front of you, that is not possible.

So, if you are sitting on the right side, please watch your hands and feet as we close the door. Hold on to your hats and if you are taking photos, please put them on sports mode.
