Permit filed for work on Star Wars: Galactic Cruiser at Disney World
Walt Disney World’s reopening of the theme parks has also meant the resumption of construction on various projects. Over a dozen Notice of Commencement permits have been filed since July 9, now one including the Star Wars: Galactic Cruiser.
Known as Project H, the permit lists the “Installation of Show Elements” to take place.
As a reminder, the Star Wars: Galactic Cruiser is a new Star Wars immersive experience hotel that was originally scheduled to open in 2021. When it will actually open is unknown. Disney has not updated any timetables on various projects.
This special hotel will offer a two-night cruise style itinerary. Guests will drive up to the Galactic Starcruiser Terminal. After check-in you enter a launch pod and travel to the Halcyon starcruiser, your hotel. You will be able to see you are traveling through space through the pod’s viewports.
On your two-night itinerary is the “spaceport of call” Black Spire Outpost, where special passenger transports will take you to the planet Batuu (Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios).
On board there are supposed to some special elements such as libghtsaber training and there are views to the space from all the ports.
