Epcot, Hollywood Studios reopen today at Disney World
Another giant step in the reopening of Walt Disney World is taking place today as Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios reopen amid the growing number of coronavirus cases in Florida.
With Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom parks opening on July 11, 2020, this leaves only the water parks and a number of resort hotels closed.
Disney closed all of its parks on March 16, 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As numbers decreased the state started reopening and gave permission for the Walt Disney World Resort to reopen. Disney started its phased reopening on May 20, 2020.
Epcot reopens with a modified version of “The EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival” with 20 signature global marketplaces like Hawaii, Hops & Barley, and Islands of the Caribbean, spaced out around the park. Here are the full menus.
In addition, there will be a some Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival sprinkled around the park, since the festival was cut short when the park closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Hollywood Studios reopens with the only virtual queue that will be taking place at any of the theme parks with the popular Star Wars: Rise of The Resistance.
Also today, Disneyland Paris reopened, as Hong Kong Disneyland closed again due to the coronavirus.
