Disney World releases video showing cast members returning to work
As the countdown continues to the reopening of the theme parks at Walt Disney World, theme park cast members are returning to work and Disney has released a video showing some of the new aspects of what the staff is going through.
The cast members undergo temperature checks and also are provided masks. During the training session you can see Disney has spaced seats and when discussions taking place there is some social distancing taking place.
The video show excited cast members returning for the opening of the Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom on July 11, and Epcot and Hollywood Studios on July 15. Cast members will participate in previews July 7-8 and July 14.
It should also be noted that not all the unions are onboard with the reopening, especially with the increase in COVID-19 cases being reported in Florida. The Actors’ Equity Association has rejected Disney World’s reopening safety plan because it does not include coronavirus testing for park performers.
