Disney World expands temperature checks to some resort restaurants
If you’re planning on dining at a Walt Disney World Resort table-service restaurant, you should plan on having your temperature checked.
Disney World is expanding where it performs temperature checks now to include table-service restaurants at Disney Resort hotels, according to the company’s website.
The announcement of the enhanced safety measures is taking place a day after Disney updated its face mask policy banning masks that contain valves, mesh material or holes of any kind.
Disney already requires temperature screening with with no-touch thermometers before entry to Walt Disney World theme parks and Disney Springs.
However, there are no temperature checks taken when entering a resort or an enclosed seated dining area. Now the table-service restaurants at the Disney Resorts will require a temperature check prior to seating.
“Based on guidance from health authorities, anyone displaying a temperature of 100.4 F or above will be directed to an additional location for rescreening and assistance. Those with temperatures 100.4 F or above will not be allowed entry; those in their party will not be allowed entry either,” according to Disney.
