Beware the ‘blue stain’ when shopping at Disney Springs
One of the new routines we’ve gotten into when going to Disney Springs, in addition to wearing masks and social distancing, is using the Purell hand sanitizers throughout dining/shopping/entertainment district.
After a recent shopping trip, we sat down for some lunch and when I looked at my hands they were stained with what looked like blue ink. The stains washed off with soap and water, but the question was where did this come from?
After making make sure I didn’t have any pens on me that leaked, I started thinking back at everything I touched during the day. And then, I realized the cause of the stain was in my hand all day – the blue Disney Parks plastic shopping bag I had been carrying the past hour.
The combination of the hand sanitizer and the bag rubbing against my hand caused the “blue stain.”
On subsequent trips, this kept happening not only to me but to others. I have not had this experience with other hand sanitizers. So, if you are planning using the hand sanitizers around Disney Springs and the parks when they open, be aware that you might find the “blue stain” on your hands if you carry the plastic shopping bag.
