Disneyland resumes limited construction work on new ride, land

Even though Disneyland remains closed due to the COVID-19 Disney construction crews are returning to work on the new Avengers Campus and Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, the Orange County Register is reporting.

Disney officials told the newspaper that crews will be accepting steel deliveries for Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway and weather protecting the Avengers Campus.

Disneyland and Disney California Adventure both closed on March 14 due to the pandemic. Disney has not made any announcement about a possible opening. The resort had been taking reservations starting June 1, but now has moved that back to July 1.

The Avengers Campus was originally supposed to open July 18, but that opening is now delayed. Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway is scheduled to open in 2022.\

No work is taking place on the Haunted Mansion, Snow White’s Scary Adventures and King Arthur Carrousel, which were being worked on prior to the closure, Disney told the OC Register.
