Construction walls up for Lululemon, more stores planned for Disney Springs

When we left Disney Springs a couple of months ago there was nothing in view showing where the new Lululemon store was to be located.

Now, we see construction walls up for Lululemon in Town Center and the M&Ms Store on the West Side. These two locations were originally scheduled to open in 2020, but with the two-month interruption and the economy, it is unknown when or if these and some other projects would be complete.

What we do know is that Lululemon, the upscale athletic apparel company that sells items for yoga, running and training will be located where the Trophy Room was located, across from Uniqlo.

The M&M’s Store experiential store is moving to this location from a current location in the Florida Mall. The new state-of-the-art store will be located in the West Side of Disney Springs near the NBA Experience. Once construction gears up, this is something that will most likely move fast.

Other construction walls still up are for Ample Hills Creamery and Beatrix.

Ample Hills, which has another location on Boardwalk, filed for bankruptcy in March, not related to COVID-19. As of last month, the company was auctioning itself off with over two dozen companies interested, including consumer goods giant Unilever and Focus Brands, according to eater.com. Once that is settled, all will have a better idea on the future.

Across from Ample Hills, Beatrix, a neighborhood restaurant, coffeehouse and grab-and-go market featuring healthy food options including vegetarian, gluten-free, and vegan is still slated for opening. The restaurant will also offer a bakery and full-service bar with a selection of all-American beer and wine. It will open at the location of the old Bongos Cuban Cafe on the West Side.
