This is the Star Wars collectible key you will be looking for on May The 4th

This year on May the Fourth, the recognized Star Wars Day, shopDisney is releasing a special Star Wars Theme Collectible Key, as well as special merchandise celebrating the 40th anniversary of Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back.

The key features the signature “D” logo at the top while the body of the key resembles a lightsaber hilt. The bottom of the key is the actual blue lightsaber and where the key’s “teeth” should be is the classic Star Wars logo.

While there are many color lightsabers the blue is the most iconic with the Jedi as it was the first color lightsaber seen when Obi-Wan wielded it in the original “Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope.” Anakin Skywalker’s blue lightsaber was passed down to Luke and then to Rey. Some others who had blue lightsabers include Ben Solo, Kanan Jarrus, Ezra Bridger, Barriss Offee, Jocasta Nu and Plo Koon.

The Star Wars Theme Collectible Key, will be available for purchase starting at 10 a.m ET/ 7 a.m. PT for $12.99. These collectible keys ar limited and will only be available while supplies last.

Not much information has come out yet as to what we can expect from the 40th anniversary of “Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back” collection. And really, shouldn’t that becoming out on May Revenge of the Fifth instead of the Fourth?

The movie was first released on May 21, 1980, and is considered the by many as the best movie in the original trilogy and set a high bar for movie sequels.

And don’t forge,t May 4 will be a big day on Disney+ with the series finale of “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” where Ahsoka Tano and Rex must use their wit and skills to survive the turbulent end of the Clone Wars. In addition, that day will mark the start of the new “Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian,” an eight-episode documentary series that pulls back the curtain on “The Mandalorian.”
