Make your own magic: Napkin folding – the Disney way

Family dinner has become a big thing again and why not make the meal a bit more fanciful by dressing up the dinner table.

One easy way to do this is by turning your napkin into a piece of art. We have two examples.

First let’s make an Enchanted Rose as you would find in “Disney’s Beauty and The Beast”

Instructions

1. Take a cloth napkin and lay it down as a diamond.
2. Fold top corner down to bottom, to form a long triangle.
3. Fold the flat end over, about an inch, but this does not have to be precise.
4. Fold it up again.
5. Fold it up again.
6. Fold it up again for the fourth time, leaving a triangle tail on top about two to three inches in length.
7. Rotate the napkin 90 degrees so the triangle area is now to the right.
8. From the bottom, start rolling up the folded edge on to itself.
9. Roll all the way to the end and tuck the edge into the side like.
10. Then take the pointed edges of the napkin and fold them around the bottom to complete the rose.
