Make your own magic: How to make your own Mickey Ears
Everyone loves all the cool Mickey Ears Disney sells, but have you ever thought about making your own?
It’s not that hard and is a great little project for the family. Our friend, Olivia, helped us out by putting together this quick how-to video. Take a look and then underneath you’ll find all the instructions you need.
Making your own Mickey Ears
supplies needed:
- Hot glue gun
- Cardboard
- Fiber stuffing
- Headband
- Fabric
- 1/2 inch ribbon
Instructions:
Step 2: Cut out 4 squares of your choice of fabric.
Step 3: Place cardboard ear on top of the square of fabric and begin to glue down the edges of the fabric, leaving an opening in the bottom of the ear to stuff and leaving a pocket of room for the fiber stuffing in the front.
Step 4: Repeat the last step with the other ear.
Step 5: Stuff both ears with the fiber stuffing and close the opening used to stuff it.
Step 6: Glue the backs of both ears together.
Step 7: Line where the two pieces meet with ribbon.
Step 8: Repeat steps 3-6 for the other ear.
Step 9: Cover the headband with fabric or ribbon of your choice.
Step 10: Use the hot glue to attach the completed ears to the headband in the desired placement.
Step 11: Add a bow or other accessories for a themed or unique and creative look!
