Make your own magic: Disney movie night
Note: This is another in a series on how to make your own magic. Find other ideas here.“
If you’re like us, you’ve had Disney+ streaming nonstop for days already, so why not make an event out of it tonight?
Choose a movie or series ahead of time and coordinate matching outfits. Create your own props. And then pop some popcorn, turn the lights down and make it special?
A few ideas:
- Freaky Friday: Kids, dress as your parents! Parents, dress as your kids! Hilarity is bound to ensue.
- The Emperor’s New Groove: We all know “Frozen 2” dropped early on Disney+, but you can dig deeper than that. “The Emperor’s New Groove” is one of the most overlooked of Disney’s animated movies.
- Gravity Falls: Design your own monster, or monster-fighting gear. Create a page for Dipper’s journal. If you haven’t seen Gravity Falls, you’re missing out. If you have seen it, can you really resist seeing the boy band episode again? (Just one thing: If you decide to label your “head” and “chin,” don’t do it with permanent marker.)
- Jump In!: The 2007 movie could ignite a love for double dutch jump roping. And the costumes are pretty inspirational too.
What are we missing? We’d love to hear about your movie nights.
