Changes made to bus service at Disney Skyliner resorts
Walt Disney World is cutting back on bus service to resorts along the Disney Skyliner route in an effort to encourage guests to use the new gondola system.
Prior to the Disney Skyliner opening last year, the only way guests could travel from Disney’s Pop Century, Art of Animation and Caribbean Beach resorts to Epcot and Hollywood Studios was by bus.
The Disney Skyliner connects all of those resorts, as well as the new Riviera Resort, with those two theme parks.
Effective Jan. 5, 2020, bus service from each of the resorts to the each theme park has been reduced to once an hour. Normally, buses would run every 20 minutes and at times more often depending upon the volume of guests.
Bus service to the Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom and Disney Springs is not expected to be impacted by this change.
When the Disney Skyliner is down, due to weather or other issues, additional buses will be used.
