4 big things to look forward to at Disneyland in February 2020

February will be bringing love, parties and a parade to the Disneyland Resort this year, plus a bonus day of the month (it is after all a Leap Year).

Let’s take a look at what’s coming:

1. Disneyland After Dark: Sweethearts Nite

For two nights this month, Feb. 12 and Feb. 13, Disneyland will be for sweethearts. These special ticketed events will take place from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. at Disneyland and include unique entertainment, special food, one-of-a-kind photo opportunities, collectible merchandise and a special Royal Princess Ball, featuring famous couples like Aurora and Prince Phillip, Jasmine and Aladdin, and Cinderella and Prince Charming.

While the Feb. 13 event is sold out, there are still some tickets available for the Feb. 12 event.

2. New Orleans Square Mardi Gras

The streets of New Orleans Square in Disneyland will be filled filled with music, street performers, Disney Characters and special food on Feb. 25. The celebration normally includes performances by Princess Tiana, Louis and Naveen. You will also find Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald, Goofy, Pluto and Chip ‘n’ Dale dressed in their Mardi Gras finest to meet and greet all.

3. Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival

From Feb. 28 through April 31, this limited-time festival will feature more than a dozen festival marketplaces, cooking demonstrations, seminar with Disney chefs and celebrity chefs live music, and even hands-on entertainment for kids in the Junior Chef experience with Chef Goofy.

The celebration of food will also be outside the park. Also joining the fun this year, select Downtown Disney District locations will offer festival-insired food and beverage options.

4. New “Magic Happens” Parade

This is the one many people have been waiting for, a new daytime parade debuts on Feb. 28 at Disneyland. This new parade, led by Mickey Mouse and his pals, celebrates moments of magic from Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar Animation Studios films as they are brought to life with stunning floats, artistic costumes and an energetic musical score and a new song co-composed by singer-songwriter Todrick Hall.

In addition to the floats, the parade route along Main Street, U.S.A., will be filled with performers and more than two dozen Disney and Pixar characters. Many performers and characters in “Magic Happens” will don all-new costumes, specifically made for this parade.
