Disneyland carousel closing for lengthy refurbishment in 2020

The King Arthur Carrousel in Disneyland will be undergoing a four-month refurbishment in 2020, according to the refurbishment schedule.

The ride will be closed on Jan. 21 and is scheduled to stay closed through May 21, 2020.

The carousel was built in 1922 by G.A. Dentzel Company and operated at Sunnyside Beach Park in Toronto, Canada from 1922 to 1954. Disney purchased the carousel in 1954 and moved to Disneyland for the park’s opening in 1955.
