Video: First look at Cirque du Soleil show coming to Disney Springs in Spring 2020

The new yet-to-be-named Cirque du Soleil show that is set to debut at Disney Springs at the Walt Disney World Resort in Spring 2020 and Disney has released a video giving all a first look.

This original story celebrates the art of Disney animation in Cirque du Soleil’s signature way.

“The show is a love letter to the art of animation and it is just a pure joy for us to explore the richness and authenticity and audacity of Disney Animation,” said Michael Lapris, the writer and show director.

The main character is Julies. She was raised by an animator and her mother. She ventures into the mysterious world of animation, said Fabrice Becker, the creation director. “She discovers how beautiful this artwork is and will also grow as a human being and become of the greatest animators.”

This is a story about legacy and passing values from father to child,” he said.
