Photos: Tron construction update at Magic Kingdom
It has been some time since we checked in on the construction of the new Tron attraction at Magic Kingdom and we can now see the main ride building is up and covering a good portion of the track that was previously put up.
The new coaster, being built in Tomorrowland next to Space Mountain, is based on Shanghai Disneyland’s TRON Lightcycle Power Run. Guests will board a train of two-wheeled Lightcycles that will take them inside and outside the attraction’s building, reaching speeds of nearly 60 miles. The ride lasts about two minutes. The attraction is scheduled to open in 2021.
We first saw the track supports being put into the ground and then the track placed on the supports. Now the building is going up around those coaster tracks. It still appears there are track supports that are not covered and awaiting for track placement.
